Blower Door Air Leakage Fan

The blower door Air leakage fan can measure the building airtightness from an energy efficient house or an old draughty building. This scalable system or multi-fan system can also measure even the largest building by using more than one blower door unit in parallel.

A typical blower air leakage fan or  blower air leakage system is comprised of four main parts:

•    A Door Panel, which temporarily seals a typical doorway and provides a hole to mount a fan.
•    A calibrated fan, capable of creating a measurable flow of air.
•    A two-channel differential pressure gauge that can also calculate flow for a particular fan.
•    A fan speed controller to change the air flow through the fan (which can be provided by the gauge)

Features:

•    The blower door fan can accurately measure airflow over a wide range of flow rates by using a series of calibrated flow rings (11 CFM to 6,100CFM). Each flow ring can measure a specific range of airflow.
•    Light weight, durable door frame and panel for easy use, one-person operation
•    Variable fan speed control (solid state – cruise control compatible)
•    Automatic control of the blower door fan to maintain a constant pressure (25PA, 50PA or 75 PA)
•    The stability of control reduces the fan’s response to wind and holds the test pressure more constant, making tests faster and more accurate.
